Walla Walla, anyone?

David_robinson_color_sm If anyone is near Walla Walla, Washington, perhaps this event on March 4th, 2008, featuring my business and creative partner, David Robinson, might be of interest.

With a story written and narrated by David, the symphonic work, Into the Wild, combines spoken word and multimedia arts with a musical composition by Duncan Neilson III, and is performed by the Walla Walla Symphony conducted by Yaacov Bergman.

As a footnote: I’m excited to announce that David, Mr Brilliant, and I are creating a symphonic piece for the 2010 season. "The Taken" will combine narrative, image, and music to explore patterns of "removal" in the U.S., events such as The Cherokee Trail of Tears and the Japanese internment camps in which we as a nation take people from their places and homes and then try to re-story that history.

We are currently seeking funding and support for the project, so if you know of grants or organizations (or individuals) who might like to be involved, please let me know.

More news on that exciting project as we are able to provide details. If you’re interested to receive info as it is available, please complete the form below–your email address will not be used for any other reason.

  • I have fond memories of J. playing a jazz concert at the lovely college there…my cousin who died of AIDS lived in Walla Walla.

I can hardly wrap my head around the project you and Mr. Brilliant are cooking up…I assume it will be, you know, nothing short of brilliant. ;)
