4,000 is my lucky number – and a request for help

4000_miles_1_540x3591 Sometimes, the universe just makes me smile.

Mr Brilliant and I have been wondering all week who would leave the 4,000th comment on 37days. It stayed at 3,999 for a day, and then I awoke this morning to find that someone had tipped the scale to 4,000. Who was that person? A prize awaited them (though no one knew that).

It was none other than Marilyn Maciel, one of the most wonderful, supportive readers of 37days, a woman who has commented with energy and commitment since the very beginning of my writing here. A poet who has two of her poems in my new book, LIFE IS A VERB. A woman who is leaping and following her desire lines.

Marilyn, my thanks for years of engagement when I needed it most. On those days when I felt insignificant and on those days when I still do, I look back at your messages of support. My thanks. Your choice of "prize" – either another copy of LIFE IS A VERB to give to someone who might need it or a set of "LIfe is a Verb" tiles. Send a tweet to let me know!

Send photos!

Readers have been sending notes to let me know that Life is a Verb is now shipping from Amazon! The first person to email a photo of them holding their very own copy of Life is a Verb will win something fabulous that is so fabulous I don’t even know what it is yet! And all photos of readers holding their very own copy of LIFE IS A VERB or photos of Verb sightings in bookshops will be posted!

A request for your help

Turns out that reader reviews and rankings on Amazon and Barnes & Noble are really important. People read them and make purchasing decisions based on them. Has 37days helped you in some way? Could you write something about how it has helped? Would you, could you, leave a review on Amazon and Barnes & Noble once you’ve had a chance to review Life is a Verb? Many thanks for your willingness to do so… I wonder who will be the first to leave a review? The 4,000th? (smile)

    Hi Patti,
I called B & N last night to see if they had your book. After trying to help the person understand the name of the book was “Life is a Verb,” and that is was NOT “Life in the ‘Burb” I was informed that it wasn’t due out until September! I re-read your website, and saw that it was indeed at B & N! I raced there this morning before work, and was told that they were OUT of it, and they would be happy to order it for me. WOOOOO-HOOOOO! You go, girl! I am going to order it straight from you so that I can get a signed copy! I know it will do well for you, and do well for all who read it! Blessings to you, and much success to you, too! I will be happy to leave a review on both websites!
