More Verb sightings!

Verb_sighting_ellouise_mdLooks like Life is a Verb is hitting the East coast as well–Ellouise from Maryland and Brenda from North Carolina, (who calls her photograph, "Love; love" or "Love, all") have both received their copies!

Verb_sighting_brenda_nc_2 Ellouise writes: "It’s beautiful, warm, and wonderful – a group of women working together to make something beautiful. In the tradition of women handing on wisdom to the next generation. Thanks so much for inviting us in to be with you."

I would add "men" to Ellouise’s equation, too, as the book features many works of art by men as well as women – she was referencing the incredible power of community, something that definitely shines through the pages of the book.

A small gift to Ellouise and Brenda for sending in their photos! The first 37 who send a photo of themselves with VERB will receive a gift, and all photos will be posted! (Please put VERB SIGHTING in the subject line)

  • So…I purchased the book cuz I have art in and truly because I love and have enjoyed your blog since the request for the art went out. Now I realize that the intent of the book was to go slow and complete the actions and the movements but I could not put the book down and finished it in an evening. I LOVED IT!! Just the book for me…I recently lost my father unexpectedly…suddenly, 15 days was all we had and it’s been hard. So I was hopeful that the book would provide some balm for my soul and heart and it did. I will go back and complete the actions and the movements but the stories I devoured and am so thankful for the randomness of the world that led me to your blog and then to your book. I am hopeful one day to a workshop or even to attend a class at the Penland School…one day. I thoroughly enjoyed the book.
