Cross the River in Ljusdal

Okay. This very short video made me literally burst into tears, it was so beautiful.

Here’s the note that accompanied it:

Hi Patti,

September 2 is my release date (birthday) too.

The bridge is the old bridge across the river in Ljusdal, a small town in Sweden, where I live. Have a nice book tour.

Sven
p.s. Same bridge, two weeks ago

To Sven, my deepest thanks.  A wee handmade gift will soon wing its way to you in that small town in Sweden, something that will fit on the back of your bike. Perhaps the postal delivery person will even bring it to you across that very bridge!

  • I love Sven’s daring backward-looking shot of LIAV carefully secured on the bike, and even more I love his town’s use of the bridge as a movie theater when night falls. There is much to be learned from the level of ingenuity the folks of this town display.
