sunday sounds : the sound of passion, a rite of spring.

High on my "bucket list" is seeing this man conduct an orchestra in person. On this first full day of spring (in our hemisphere), Gustavo Dudamel in rehearsal with the Venezuelan youth orchestra playing Stravinsky's "The Rite of Spring."

Such passion they couldn't help but excel. His energy, his so deeply apparent love for the music–and for them. His remarkable embodiment of sound. I loved the ending.

The rite of spring.

Gustavo! Dudamel! He conducts just 12 miles from my house. If, no, when, you come to Southern California, we’ll take you to hear him. In the amazing Disney Concert Hall which, to me, is like being inside a finely tuned violin.
