Cauliflower flower on a plate mind :: my brain and yours

Well done, Heidi Durrow, well done.

Bill Maher don't know Buddhism.

Houston, we have space sushi.

body :: my place and yours

Ever since I had that incredible INCREDIBLE cauliflower dish at a restaurant in Canton, Ohio (I am waving to you, Jylene and Janey), I've been a cauliflower addict, desperate to recreate it. No luck yet, but doesn't this sound good?

She would paint on anything.

Who is destroying our girls' self-esteem?

Good for you, Daniel Radcliffe. Good for you.

soul :: my heart and yours

Can art help us save the world? (Thanks to Heloise Jones)

I write a thank-you note every morning. This woman got the one for February 25th. (Thanks to Amy McCracken for pointing me to this story)

*Sigh*

Someone wrote from Australia recently to tell me that my blood's worth bottling. Pardon?, I said.

A final thought :: "If you've never met a student from the University of Chicago, I'll describe him to you.  If you give him a glass of water, he says, 'This is a glass of water.  But is it a glass of water?  And if it is a glass of water, why is it a glass of water?' And eventually he dies of thirst. – Shelley Berman

I worry about Meg’s self-esteem so much. She already — at SIX! — says she’s not smart and can’t do her homework, which is just poppycock. I’ve started sitting with her in front of a mirror, and talking about smart and pretty and labels and what we should think of others’ opinions. Lordy, I hope I’m helping.
