the seams are hid from us, you see. the joinery.

Wood-joints600x600 "So everything is necessary. Every least thing. This is the hard lesson. Nothing can be dispensed with. Nothing despised. Because the seams are hid from us, you see. The joinery. The way in which the world is made. We have no way to know what could be taken away. What omitted. We have no way to tell what might stand and what might fall." -Cormac McCarthy, The Crossing

  • What a wise quote. I’m adding this to my tool box, to remember when I am feeling doubt.

  • The joinery is so important. It’s amazing how we all dovetail together. You can see it in a hug…we humans somehow fit nestled together. It’s with that togetherness that we find strength. There is no seam.
You are right Patti, Amy is lovely.
