  • Ah yes, early this morning I read of her death. An era fading away, I’m afraid. I have fond memories of that trio.

    Once, in a child psychology class, I described my earliest memory, from when I was about 2 and a half. It’s green, we’re outside, “Puff, the Magic Dragon” is playing, and someone says, “Shhh. The baby’s sleeping.” And I’m the baby. My mom later told me that we were at the beach at Fenwick Point in Connecticut that summer. The green was the sea grass. She takes that piece of my childhood with her. RIP, Mary of the awesome voice.
