Come, sit with me in Reston or Georgetown

Washington Just a reminder that I'll be reading from Life is a Verb this weekend in Reston, Virginia, and in Washington, D.C.

I hope if you're in the area that you'll join me at one of these gatherings and bring along all your friends, that nice mail carrier who brings your new Utne Reader, and your mother–she needs to get out more and it would be a nice outing for the two of you.

Sunday, NOVEMBER 9th – Life is a Verb readings by Patti Digh

2pm – Barnes & Noble Reston / Spectrum Center
1851 Fountain Drive, Reston, VA

7:30pm – Barnes & Noble Georgetown
3040 M Street, Georgetown, DC

Also, as mentioned briefly earlier, Life is a Verb has been chosen as one of five finalists out of over 450 nominees in the prestigious "Books for a Better Life" Awards which will be presented in early 2009 in New York City. In the Inspirational Memoir category, Life is a Verb is one of five finalists, along with books such as Randy Pausch's "The Last Lecture." You can find info here.

Hope to see you tomorrow (Nov 9th) in Reston or DC!
