your daily rock : be thrilled by small things

What I know for sure is this:

At the end of all this–this life we cherish or merely endure–what we will remember aren’t the big days, the dress-up-and-stand-up-straight days. We will remember the small moments of shared laughter, the way the sun looks on the breakfast table, the feel of a hand in ours, the generosity of a stranger. We will remember a shared ice cream cone on a hot day, the way sunflowers hold up the sky. We will remember a glance, a gesture, a tiny bird.

Today, let yourself be thrilled by small things. Because they aren’t so small after all.

Love,
