your daily rock : fragile, yet resilient

There is nothing wrong with being fragile. We all are, balanced on a tiny point between life and death, between pain and joy, between up and down, on a tiny dot in a big, big universe. All of us.

Some people respond to that fragility by being tough, demanding, mean to waitresses, harsh–all in the spirit of showing how strong they are. But that’s not strong; that’s wearing a mask to hide our fear.

There is no shame in being fragile. It is our shared human condition. Let’s let it show, knowing we can be both fragile and resilient–in community.

Love,
