your daily rock : enjoy the journey

I was walking up a long hill at the U.S. Capitol Building years ago with a friend. My goal was to reach the top. His was to enjoy the journey.

“Weren’t those blooming trees amazing?” he said when we reached the top.

“What trees?” I said.

Enjoy the trees. Enjoy the journey. The top of that hill will still be there when you get there.
