your daily rock : love all your bits

It is so easy to love the parts of yourself that are lovable, either by your own definition or that of others. Those good hair days and straight A’s and good work ethic and all that lovingkindness and those great recipes for Sangria and always remembering to floss and the life of the party bits.

It is harder to love the unlovable parts, those shadowy bits full of jealousy and anger and too many Poptarts, those parts of you weighted down by comparisons with other people, the bits that feel broken.

Love them all, all those bits. You are human. There are ugly bits. That’s okay. Those are what make you fully human.

And they are the source of great learning, great art, great true hot meaningful expansive knowing living.

Love all your bits.

Love,
