Sometimes we think of “speaking up” only relative to fighting injustices or taking up for ourselves or others. “Speak up” often means speaking back. And surely, there are times when that is what is needed.

But for today, what if we redefined “speaking up” as a reminder to say “I love you” more often? What if “speak up” meant “let people know how much they mean to you”?

Let’s give that a try.
