your daily rock : get messy!

When she was about 5 years old, I came upon Tess in the backyard sitting inside a big flowerpot with a hose pouring water into the dirt around her. She saw me and stood up, triumphant, with the hose spraying up into the air above her, covered completely in mud. She was ecstatic!

Life is messy.

We dress it up, we say all the right things, we keep our pants pressed and our blouses clean. But at heart, life is really messy. Mess is where stuff happens. Mess is where we can play. Mess is where life is. Full contact living.

Today, get messy! Create a ritual of getting messy in your life and see what happens!
