Some people think “learning” is “knowing.”  But that’s not learning; that’s repeating what you know. Learning is not knowing. Learning is getting a lot of things “wrong.”

Don’t prepare yourself against surprise and not knowing; prepare yourself FOR surprise–say “I don’t know” or “I was wrong” more often. It liberates you from perfectionism.
