your daily rock : wake up to beauty

Somehow we save beauty for special occasions–those flowers we receive from a loved one, the photos of sunsets that fill us with satisfaction, the reflections of sails on a lake.

What if we really saw the beauty around us all the time? The cracks in the sidewalk that provide a breathing space between here and there, the coffee stain on paper that wrinkles the paper in lines, the way a scab miraculously forms on our skin when needed.
