your daily rock : be worthy of your trust

Trust is like a bank account.

It accrues over time, often slowly and carefully, and when we break a trust–to ourselves or to others–it depletes the account.

And then it can take a very long time to rebuild that trust account.

Cherish that account. Protect it. Be worthy of your trust, and that of others.

And remember, too, that sometimes trust takes a leap of faith: As Ernest Hemingway said, “The best way to find out if you can trust somebody is to trust them.”
