Need a keynote speaker? A special offer for nonprofit organizations, schools, and libraries
"Your warmth, wisdom, simplicity and humanity filled the room, and your words were very present to everyone. The opening keynote session sets the tone for the conference, and you should know, attendees were on a high all day…what an awesome presentation!!! As a result of your presentation, this year’s conference was among the best our organization has ever held!" -Robin Hayes, Director, Conference & Meeting Services, American Counseling Association
During the month of September, I am offering a low-cost opportunity for nonprofit organizations, educational institutions, and libraries to book me as a keynote speaker for conferences through December 2011, depending on calendar availability. I started my career in the nonprofit world and would love to give back in this way. My clients have included the American Society of Association Executives, the American Counseling Association, the National Parks Conservation Association, the American Nurses Association, the Society of Urologic Nurses, and many other nonprofits, educational institutions, and corporations. Here's how it works:
1) You book a one-hour keynote speech with me (depending on calendar availability) and we sign a contract by September 30, 2010. The speech will be given before December 31, 2011. My speeches are motivational, inspirational, and focused on the lessons in my three most recent books: Life is a Verb, Four Word Self Help, and Creative is a Verb.
2) I waive my speaking fee, which for nonprofits is $8500. In return, your organization covers coach travel for two and hotel costs, buys a minimum of 250 of my books outright directly from the publisher (at half price, this will cost approximately $2500) and offers additional books of mine for sale at your meetings with a signing to be held after the speech. In several cases, consortiums of nonprofit organizations in a community have formed to host an event, spreading these costs among them.
"Patti Digh has the unique ability as a speaker to make you wake up, dig deep, learn profoundly, and alternate between clutching your gut with laughter and gushing tears for the deep truth, beauty and wisdom of her stories. She is one of the best speakers I have ever seen, and I have seen a lot of them." -Pamela Slim, author, Escape from Cubicle Nation: From Corporate Prisoner to Thriving Entrepreneur
If your organization is interested, please contact me at patti@pattidigh.com (please put SPEAKER in the subject line) and provide information on your organization and your event so we can see if there's a fit with my calendar! This offer is only good for speeches booked by September 30, 2010, by nonprofit organizations, educational institutions, or libraries.
"Every once in a while, there comes a speaker who makes you forget you're sitting in a ballroom, in a strange city, eating bad food, forcing a smile, exchanging business cards with people you'll never talk with again. Every once in a while, there comes a speaker who lifts an audience, transcending time and space with laughter, tears and a profound recognition of the beauty of our 'normal' lives. Patti Digh is just such a speaker. If I had 37 days to live, I'd want to live them listening to, and learning from, Patti." -Michele Woodward, Career Strategist & Master Certified Coach, Washington, D.C.
