Life is incremental. It is full of bushwhacking in a dense forest, unable to see the straight line that might lead you from here to there.

Maybe there is no straight line. I think there is no straight line.

No, it is all brambles and switch-backs and big boulders and a periodic view of a mountain lake that soothes us, and then back into the forest. It's a fantastic journey, the best there is. The dark mossy periods make the light so beautiful.

Love this.

We moved from ‘the big smoke’ to our cozy little Lake Huron cottage 4 years ago. Once a month or so we drive the 150 miles back (to hang with the kids, their kids and the beloved family patriarch who sometimes still acts like a kid) by a very circuitous, back-road-rambling route that’s ever so much more scenic and sane than 8-lane highway driving.

Couple of weeks ago my Mr. – for reasons that still elude us both – looked up the latitude/longitude of our old suburban dwelling and our new lil’ piece of paradise. To our mutual amazement, he discovered that both homes sit on exactly the same latitude.

Exactly. What’re the odds?

So beautifully phrased Patti. Making my way through the forest with you has been most enlightening. Synchronicity abounds.
