I admit to fear when I think about losing my dad. He’s 82, still sad without my mom these four years. Still drives over to my house to watch golf on the big screen. Still my dad. I understand your “Oh.”
Oh, how I miss my Dad. I thought the pain would ease over time, but around birthdays and holidays it’s raw like an open wound. My Dad’s birthday is Sunday.
Sending you a comforting hug,
Nancy (nanakin1)
This one made me cry. My dad is still alive, but my older brother and my mother are gone. I know the feeling on the anniversaries each year of the major bookends of their lives.
