Only 30 more days to the half-marathon!

Diving pig Only 30 more days to the half marathon!

Say what?

Not 30?

Only 3 days?

Mama is in some serious trouble.

(I hope your 37 day challenge has shown you as much as mine has shown me. Big learning. Once I get out of intensive care following the half-marathon on Sunday, I'll be writing about that learning).

(thanks to Kathryn Ruth Schuth for this fabulous image!)

  • May the road rise up to meet you, Patti! You’re going to be great. :)

  • Not that you’re asking for advice, but Motrin is a girl’s best friend….like right around mile 8 or 9 perhaps…. Good luck and have fun!

  • That is one fabulous photo!

Oh, Patti….I’m glad it’s you and not me. Sorry…

Good luck, God speed, and Happy Trails out there!!! I’ll be thinking of you. Just keep yourself safe.

    *hugs*

  • I am ridiculously honored you stopped by my blog AND left a comment! My favorite place to read is the bath – the only room in the house with a lock on it. You’re only in trouble if that half marathon takes you 37 days to run it. What an accomplishment, I hope give yourself a good pat on the back.

Jump, pig, jump. Those ears will save you!

Go, Patti, go. Our collective good wishes will inspire you!

Just like Bird By Bird, take it Mile By Mile.

I, too, will be thinking of you and wishing you wings on your feet.

Patti, remember that the slow and steady progress of the tortoise proved greater than that of the hurried hare.

The lessons to be learned will result from the walking, skipping, cartwheeling, bunny hopping, dancing and (perhaps) running rather than the ribbon at the finish line.

And if you don’t make it to the ‘official’ finish line, you will still have made further than you would have done had you never tried. Sometimes the greatest lessons in life are to be found in our disappointments.

  • All the goodwill and beauty that you send into the world is going to lay out before you like a soft, red carpet, leading you to the finish line where all of us will be in spirit, celebrating all that you give and all that you share and the fact that YOU DID IT! A HALF MARATHON!!

I can’t wait to see a picture of your finish!

Glad that you’re in it for the long crawl, Patti.

    Ice packs might ship well.

” You’re only in trouble if that half marathon takes you 37 days to run it. ” That made me laugh.

Patti, you’re way ahead of the crowd, even before you start. We’re with you every step of the way!

    You go, girl!
