Day 12, a dozen days.

How was 12?

Tomorrow? Tomorrow we start counting from the other end. Like this: 25 days left. Only 25. Just 25. Miraculous, precious 25. Enough time to change a life. 25 days left to keep our commitment to ourselves. A lifetime in 25 days.

I learned this at the gym. It makes twenty-five 700-pound leg lifts easier if you count down to ONLY TWO LEFT DEAR LORD SAVE ME JUST TWO SURELY I CAN KEEP THIS UP JUST TWO MORE MEASLY TIMES. See how much easier that is than counting up to I CANNOT POSSIBLY DO ENOUGH OF THESE TO ADD UP TO TWENTY-FIVE.

And so, we're practically almost already on day 24.
