Blow dry your Oscar

After a few flip-flop wearing days in Florida pretending to work beside a pool while the familial units send videos of the snow at home, I'm winging my way to NYC tomorrow to meet Emma there and attend the Books for a Better Life awards. Life is a Verb has been honored already by being one of five finalists in the "Inspirational Memoir" category and Emma and I will celebrate the art of writing by being there in person when the winner is named.

On Tuesday, a small gathering of 37days readers will meet up at 1pm for lunch at Lily's in the Roger Smith Hotel on Lexington Avenue. I hope you might be able to join us there! If you can, send a quick note to patti at pattidigh dot com to let me know so I can adjust the reservation.

See you on the other side of the Awards Ceremony! I'll be wearing what Angelina Jolie wore tonight to the Oscars, complete with those emerald earrings. Not that I was watching, oh no. I was "working."

Patti,
It seems only fitting on this Oscar-related post to note the Heath Ledger qualities of Randy Pausch’s book – I don’t think I could imagine a more fitting parallel. LIAV is an incredible book with the unfortunate timing of being nominated along with The Last Lecture. In my opinion, LIAV would win hands down at any other time against any other work. What tremendous company your book shared, and rightly so. Congrats on the nomination. I hope you and Emma had a wonderful time in NY!

Could you help me. It is fortunate to be of high birth, but it is no less so to be of such character that people do not care to know whether you are or are not. Help me! It has to find sites on the: History market stock. I found only this – Stock market predictions. The glazier; gain is the shoemaker; loss.
