Verbs in Asheville

Store The man just flat out loves me. I think I’ve mentioned that once or twice or a thousand times.

In Chicago this past week, shortly after I checked in and got settled into my room way, way above the streets of the city (scary, too high, help!), there was a knock on the door. The most fantastic concierge in the world, Paul Garcia, appeared before me, holding a faxed image of the photo you see here and a tiny tray of the most delicious truffles in the world.

Turns out, Mr Brilliant spent his spare time while I was gone creating a poster for Life is a Verb and stuck it in his shop window, with a note under it that says I’ll be reading from LIAV tomorrow night, Saturday, September 20th, from 7-8pm, at Malaprop’s Bookstore. I hope you can join me there. It would mean a lot to me. You don’t even need to bring truffles, though who am I to keep you from your fun if that would make you happy.

I could not make it to Malaprops tonight, but I did, however, drop by earlier today and purchased your book. Looking forward to reading it.
