A long table of happy people, glasses of beer and wine, suspenders, hats with feathers… we must be in Germany!

Verb_sighting_germany I have a beautiful little 37days shrine made of metal and beads displayed in my dining room–along with many of the pieces of art from Life is a Verb–this one made and sent to me by artist Tari June Goerlitz who is living in Germany. For those of you with a copy of LIAV, see pages 115, 136, 221!

Imagine my delight to receive this photograph from her, along with this note:

"Here’s the reaction from my community… a real jolly bunch of Germans having fun at our local wine festival. I was terrified to ask them to pose with the book, but if you look closely it’s being waved all the way at the back of the table. These folks were so fun and we had a great conversation for some time."

Having lived in Germany (Munich) myself, I know these Germans, that long table, those big glasses of beer and wine, those suspenders and those lovely hats! I can assure you they aren’t talking about building community and Web 2.0 and social media, they are, instead, living it. I love the little book waved at the back, a metaphor for how they live their lives–life first, in the foreground.

My thanks, Tari, for this great shot of Verbs in Germany!
