Verbs a go-go!
So happy was I to meet up with a long-time friend from D.C. while in San Diego recently! Jeff De Cagna brought his copy of Life is a Verb with him and treated me and a few others to a glorious Thai dinner in the Gaslight District to celebrate friendship. My thanks, Jeff, and a wee little handmade gift will be mailed to you soon for sending this photo! Turns out, Life is a Verb has cross-species appeal, as Annie Binn‘s cat, Natasha, can attest all the way from Colorado! Annie writes:"I am so loving reading each chapter. It’s a special treat. I snuggle up in my favorite blankets (it’s been really cold in Colorado this week!!) and as you can see, when I got up for fresh coffee, my cat Natasha decided she wanted my spot. I don’t know if you can tell, but she’s not giving it back. She has that look. Thank you for such a fabulous creation."
Also from Colorado, artist Laura Stinson sends her Verb sighting. "Oh, boy!" she writes, "the book!" You’ll find Laura’s art in the book–and she is the person who sent my Philip Glass pocket shrine months ago, to my sheer delight (I carry it in my passport in my wallet every day, Laura!) And from California, Suzanne Maggio-Hucek checks in with a cup o’ java and Life is a Verb from a slightly different perspective. As she writes: Just thought I’d let you know that LIAV made it to tiny little Penngrove. Just in time for breakfast! It’s beautiful and heavy too! It feels great in my hands. Congratulations again. What a great legacy for your girls. Gotta go. Got some reading to do!"My thanks to Jeff, Annie, Laura, and Suzanne for sending these great pictures of Life is a Verb enjoying a trip around the country without the hassles of taking its shoes off at the security checkpoint.
If you have a Verb sighting, send a picture! The first 37 sent will receive a wee special, handmade gift!
