Finale

Birthday_sd After an amazing dinner at Kemo Sabe in San Diego (seriously incredible food), I returned to my hotel room to find this delicious surprise. Don’t you pipe chocolate on all your plates like this?

Slacker.

What a nice touch – I don’t know who sent it, but it brought a big smile to my face.

And so commences another year on the planet. Here’s to an amazing one, one in which I live like I only have 37 days left.

My thanks to everyone for the happy birthday wishes! Next year this time, we’re all scheduled to eat dinner at Topolobampo, right?, to celebrate my 50th. August 16, 2009. Let’s say 7pm. Corner table. I’m not kidding.

  • Happy Birthday, my dear Patti. What a wonderful treat! You are much loved by many people, so I’m not surprised that someone ordered such a decadent dessert for you.

    See ya next year!

  • Happy Belated Birthday, Patti! That dessert up top on that gorgeous plate — looks scrumptious! What a nice surprise.

    Belated wishes for a Happy Birthday,Patti. 49 – you’re on the cusp of 50 – and greatness!

Spending a birthday in Chicago sounds wonderful to me, although mine is in November – brrr! I envy those of you with summer birthdays, including my daughter.

    Here’s to a wishes-do-come-true year!

  • Happy Belated Birthday! And what a wonderful birthday treat!

  • Happy Birthday, Patti! Let’s treat each day as though it is our birthday! Although maybe we better rethink eating yummy cake and ice cream each day – maybe every other day ;)
