I know you’re busy. Those emails are piling up. The boss needs a report on the use of commas and the subjective clause in the report on the report on the findings of the report on sumpin-sumpin. The massage therapist is waiting. The kids are running naked in the backyard. The cat looks funny. Those cute little pointed ice cream cones are not going to eat themselves.

But no matter what you’re doing, stop and read this post about how to encourage a friend. Then do what the man says. Today.

I just wrote five personal emails to friends who I haven’t talked with in ages. Thanks for the reminder! (I would have picked up the stationary, but I’ve already packed it away.)

postcards ! people LOVE getting mail. I often send cards to friend who are away so there is something waiting for them saying ‘welcome home’. I send bars of chocolate too. I collect free cards to send to people from bars.

What a great reminder for all of us. My favorite was the call to “just forgive them”. Which applies to anyone in our lives, friends family, etc.
