Anticipation

Emma_prom Six short frenetic maniacal hours until prom.

More later, after we live through today’s preparations, on how this dress and four inch heels (are you kidding me?), happened IN ONE SHORT HORMONAL WEEK.

Ah, two stages of life in one photograph. One twirling, the other wondering. The rapidly aging mother unit is not visible in this particular photograph because she has passed out from the sheer glory of it all.

Magnificent! How did you pull it off?

  • What a picture – what a moment. I hope Mr. Kilt helps the prom be all that she dreams of! A girl in that dress deserves nothing less. :)

  • Oh … so beautiful. And this picture is priceless.

Gorgeous! Sheer and utter! Can’t wait to hear the story about the dress. I’m sure it’s going to be a good one! I hope Mr. Kilt appreciates the work you all went through to get this dress! I think he will though, she’s absolutely gorgeous in it!

She looks absolutely stunning. I can’t wait to hear about it all.

  • Four inch heels? Never in my long life have I been able to wear four inch heels. Love the photo. Hope you make it through the night…

  • My niece’s prom is tonight, too. Even in my biggest ‘f*ck-me pump’ days, not sure I ever did 4″. er…HEELS, I mean. ;) Hope she has a glorious time!

my word – absolutely stunning. And while I’m pretty sure The Gorgeous Ms. Em doesn’t want to hear it, she looks the spitting image of you in 1977. Gorgeous runs in the family!

  • What a perfect dress and photo… They are two different stages but twirling to see a skirt puff out is universal…

Fabulous! Perhaps you could post a pic of your lovely daughter with Mr. Kilt (nudge-nudge)? Funny, I don’t remember looking like that when I was 16…..4″ heels….not so much….Earth shoes ;)

  • That is a *stunning* photo! Wow, simply beautiful. I can’t wait to hear the story either.

    You’re right, she does!

“Even in my biggest ‘f*ck-me pump’ days, not sure I ever did 4″. er…HEELS, I mean. ;)”

Hahaha…well said. Although I’m sure mom doesn’t want to hear that! ;)

Ah, the sheer glory of it! A whirling, twirling dervish of a moment for mom and the beautiful prom girl. I also anticipate the story. The shoes, by the way, will be worth the tired feet at the end of the night. They are too perfect!

  • Wow. That is such a beautiful photo, on so many levels. Thank you for posting.

  • Patti–news flash: Tess is not wondering. Her brain is set to “High-Definition Record” as she is portrayed here, meaning you should plan to deliver exactly as marvelous a dress, experience, and the equivalent pampering-daughter-even-while-THISCLOSE-to-losing-it mother next decade for her!

With any luck, the same magically talented artist with the needle and thread will be available then.

  • What a fabulous story, this and the one that brought me here.

This photo! She is stunning, you are wonderful…
