And now, I found out that 37days was nominated by a wonderful artist, Aurora, as "the best blog of all time." Whew. That’s a big one. I’m humbled by that one, for sure.

And since my mother will not stop nagging me ceaselessly sweetly reminding me to tell people to vote for her daughter until Everyone In The Universe votes for 37days, please do if you feel the spirit, the mojo, the urge, the inescapable desire. You’ll need to register at the site first, then vote.  It’s a tiny bit confusing to find 37days, so I’ve tried it out first and hopefully have got it right. It appears that you can vote for 37days as many times as your little heard desires.

Many thanks, Aurora, for the nod, and many thanks to those who vote for 37days. And many thanks to Mama, who actually believes I can win it.

Well, of course I’ll vote, though my biased little peanut won’t need too much prodding to actually noodle out the truth that you do deserve the recognition. And the award. I love reading this blog.

I’ll only respond to the question you asked about movies–the best movie is old Uncle Orson’s “Touch of Evil”, a dollar-and-a-half flick that absolutely transcends itself (becoming at least a two-dollar film). The first time we finally get to see Orson (this following the most monumental opening to a film ever) we see him ooze from a patrol car, like a porous-y 300-lb man-exuda slip from a 200-pound car. He looks nothing like himself, just a total mess. (And shot from below in glorious b+w with not one speck of greytone.) It is so shocking I still do an OMG and laugh out loud every time I see it. Even the still of him will do it.
    Anyway, there you have it.

The best dog breed is Miniature Pinscher.

  • I can’t leave this one alone–the above link is for a pic of Uncle O as Hank Quinlan. If that doesn’t grab you, well, I dunno. If you’ve never seen the movie before, just remember NOT TO THINK–just let the images wash over you. The plot here is short of being one, so if you let go of the need for one, you’ll be much happier. The movie is sort of like one made out of Robert Frank photos, strung somehow into a movie–but NOT like a Robert Frank movie, which really never should’ve happened.

You got my vote, Patti! Good luck; I hope you win! =D

  • Of course you get my vote!

I agree – best pups are Min Pins, and my little guy, Geronimo, is top of the list.

Best movie – The Princess Bride. “My name is Inigo Montoya. You killed my father. Prepare to die!”

    Good luck with the voting!

    best,
    Leanne
