Buy art and help

ShipUpdate: the Kim family art auction is now live on Ebay. Payment for auctions won is by PayPal only. Many of the artists have donated shipping, but check auction specifics to see whether it is included with your winning bid. It looks like my ship and mohair kitty are already hot ticket items…good luck!

I wrote earlier about the recent death of James Kim, a man who was stranded with his family in the Oregon mountains and died trying to save them.

His wife and two daughters survived; communities have rallied around them, including a group of artists who have donated fine art + craft for an online auction that will begin January 3rd and end January 7th. One hundred percent of the auction proceeds will go to the Kim Family Fund.

The artists and their auction items are amazing: I’ve really got my eye on this fantastic ship. My wallet and bag fetish would be satisfied by this, I love this monkey, ooh I want this and this and this and I believe that Ginger and Charlie and the wonderful flying ship might be my absolute favorites.

Let’s go shopping to help this family, shall we?
