A Test of the Emergency Response System

It’s only a test, a Typepad technology test, an uploading-of-the-images-test.

UPDATE: Typepad reports a glitch in photo uploading to domains with numbers in them…hopefully they will have it fixed soon. In the meantime, enjoy exercising your imagination and where you see "image not available," insert your own ideal illustration…

  • Loud and clear…

…and showed up in my RSS feed!

  • Dan – thanks for letting me know! Typepad asked me to run some tests – looks like all the photos returned from wherever they go when they’re missing. I’m going to start writing Haiku about pings and RSS…

  • Hey, there’s the thimble! And your (new) feed showed up in Bloglines. (I still don’t know what a ping is…)

  • Hi Patti,

I never had any problems getting your work on bloglines. Still coming across really well.

I always liked Einstein’s comment to a student who failed his physics course, took it again, got to the final exam and realized it was the same final exam as the year before. The student went up and complained to Einstein about the same exam and according to the story Einstein said: “That’s okay the answers have changed.”

From RSS and tags and everything else, the answers keep changing. And I don’t even know what the questions are.

By the way, you have 46 subscribers on bloglines and I suspect that will just keep growing.

  • david – the einstein story is so perfect for my situation with pings and ping-nots, so thank you for that! Oddly, after fixing the feed issue (and I use the word “fix” as a metaphor for “fix” since I don’t know what I actually did), I now have 2 different bloglines subscriptions for 37days, each with a different number of subscribers. Most readers receive 37days as a text in regular email and don’t ever visit this blog…I think the best thing for me to do is surrender to the ping gods and disengage from numbers altogether…!
